“The Shop” by The Frontal Queen

📓The Project:

The Frontal Queen is an LA hair salon and D2C retail brand that specializes in frontal lace wigs, haircare and more.

For a pop-up activation at L.A.’s Black On The Block festival, The Frontal Queen was in need of brand buildout that would establish the foundation for a Juneteenth black haircare experience that could also function as an evergreen installment to be applied across various IRL events.

📦 The Deliverables:

This project involved conceptualizing and naming “The Shop” activation and designing a corresponding brand that lives within The Frontal Queen’s universe.

The result is a branding system that leans into 20th century thematic elements, capturing the essence of the hair salon as a time-honored sacred space for Black women.

The responsive identity allows The Frontal Queen to take “The Shop” across a number of pop-up and trade show environments.
